About Our Pottery
The use of handmade objects brings a ritual into our lives which has been lost in the rush of contemporary times. Cooking good food and sharing it with loved ones always brings pleasure and meaning into our home. Your favorite dish served in a handmade cassarole, or fresh fruit from a lovely bowl provides elegance and fond memories.

My handmade pottery is food, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe with lead-free
clay and glazes. Each piece is handmade and while some are similar, no two are exactly
alike.

Each pottery piece is made from stoneware clay, wheel thrown (some are hand-built) and hand-decorated to be used and enjoyed in the home. Each piece is signed personally by me while still wet, bisque fired, glazed, then fired again. The pottery is suitable for baking and many other uses, and keeps dishes warm longer than most other materials. Pottery should never be subjected to thermal shock of any kind. If cared for properly, pottery will provide years of use and enjoyment. Some pieces may even become cherished family heirlooms.

Remember: Do not place pottery pieces on a stove top gas
flame or electric burner. And when cooking in the oven,
NEVER preheat the oven. Bring the pottery up to the desired
temperature slowly. Also, never place warm pottery in the
freezer. Allow it to cool completely first. By observing these
few rules your pottery should last many, many years.
